“Bowood” Guest Room Progress
This guest room on our third floor is finally coming together, and I love the quirky, pattern-heavy style that it’s starting to take on. When beginning with the decor for this room, I primarily kept the hunter green carpet in mind. It was definitely a bold choice to keep such a strong color on the floor (the carpet “came” with the house), but it feels incredibly cozy in person and keeps the house feeling a bit older and more traditional.
BOWOOD WALLPAPER
Going with the green theme, I fell in love with this wallpaper from Colefax & Fowler, which is very well known in the traditional decor world. (I also mirrored the wallpaper’s floral pattern on the beds’ accent pillows to further stress the traditional vibe).
TICKING STRIPE HEADBOARD
Ticking stripe is forever one of my favorite patterns. It was a no-brainer as the second pattern to pull into this room. (The matching bed skirts can be found here).
BLUE BORDER SHEET SET
A simple but pretty set, these sheets bring in a perfect pop of light blue to match the Bowood flowers.
RATTAN SIDE CART
I love this accent cart so much, it’s the second one in our house! (We also have the longer bar cart version in our family room).
I’m still working on window treatments (new blinds & valances) as well as some artwork for the walls and other little accents around the room. More to come..
