1. Little Bee, Chris Cleave
A story about how a young girl (a refugee from Nigeria) changes a British family’s life. Chapters bounce back and forth between the girl’s voice (Little Bee) and the English mother’s voice, giving you a 360 degree view of the whole story. I don’t want to say too much – even the blurb on the back cover avoids details..but I highly recommend this one.

2. The Girl on the Train, Paula Hawkins
Insanely quick read – I finished this book in a weekend. It’s intense in every way, and the suspicion is fantastic. There’s a movie coming out, so make sure you read it first!
