Top 3 Books from 2015
Jan 21 2016
It’s one of my biggest goals this year to be reading as much as possible, so please let me know if you have any book suggestions! These were my top picks from the past year (all very different genres).
1. Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, Jamie Ford
My mom gave me this book for Christmas years ago, and I never got around to reading it. I finally picked it up a few months ago, and it was a very quick read. It’s a bitter-sweet story about love lost and love found, and it’s very touching.
2. In the Unlikely Event, Judy Blume
This was one of the biggest book releases in 2015, so I had to grab a copy. This book is definitely a cliff-hanger. It’s based on true events and at times is quite sad, but the story is extremely well-written. I loved it.
3. Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?, Mindy Kaling
This is a good go-to if you’re looking for a quick, funny read. It’s light-hearted and silly. Great recommendation for a commute-book if you’re not looking to get into anything too heavy. This is the kind of book you can pick up whenever you just feel like laughing.
I’m currently in the middle of reading Three Wishes by Liane Moriarty, though I’ve been quite busy, and it’s taking me forever to finish..but it’s good so far! I also bought The Alchemist and Little Bee today, so those are next in line. I’ve heard they’re great! Please comment if you have any other book suggestions!
