I picked up some great new pieces to add to my wardrobe in the last few weeks, and I’ve been throwing them all over my Instagram, as I’ve been wearing them immediately. So..I’m sharing some details below in case anything caught your eye and you’re looking for more info. (And if you’re not following yet – get to it! @littleprettiesbigcity).
Like I keep saying, I’m all over leather for this coming fall. I love this eyelet top, and it’s perfect with red lipstick. (#favorite) I wore this shirt out the other night with skinny jeans and black heels – both looks (including the above) are great..and so different!
This shirt is such a nice fit that I bought it in three colors – white, black, and pink (as seen in a photo below). It’s a beautiful silky material and perfect to pair with either pants or a skirt. (Dual usage like this is always one of my most important factors when buying new items – if I can wear something to work and also on the weekend or out at night, it’s a win-win. Hence me buying this top in three colors)!
The black pants are my absolute favorite, and I live in them. My sister gave them to me (and to my other sister as well) for Christmas one year, and I’ve bought them over and over each year. That’s how often I wear them – I have to buy a new pair each year! Oops. They fit just like leggings, but the material is thicker, so they’re a bit fancier.
This lemon sweater is maybe a month (or two) old, so it’s on sale now. I think it’s adorable even though my sisters tell me it looks like a dish towel. (Ha)! The skirt is a great fit – I love wearing it to work..and it’s fun to use to mix patterns, like I did above.
This quilted top is so comfortable; it feels like a blanket. The detail in the stitching is beautiful, and it’s a really nice top for work or a nice night out. A nice step up from a simple white shirt.

Great work outfit. Classy and very girly with the white and light pink. (Note to self: wear this on Easter)!
The PERFECT work dress. Also a good option for a nice dinner party or date night. I love the slight hint of sweetheart lining on the neckline – it’s what sold me completely.
Vests are my best friend. (Aside from red lipstick). Expect an upcoming post soon on some of my favorites for this fall!
Hope everyone is getting ready for the holiday. Enjoy the last official weekend of summer, and don’t forget to get your wardrobe ready for the fall! It’s also a great time to take advantage of end-of-summer sales. They may seem pointless since you won’t be able to wear what you buy for much longer, but next summer will roll around before you know it, and you’ll be happy you grabbed those summer pieces at such great prices!
