NYC Guide: Upstairs at the Kimberly Hotel

In all honesty, I’m writing this NYC-centric post from a deck in Florida (how ironic), overlooking water and pools – and basking in the sunshine. I’m soaking in as much of this warm weather as I can get..and hoping that New York’s weather is not so bad when I return. (Keyword: hoping).
The only thing that’s on my mind right now is rooftop happy hours in NYC as the summer gets closer and closer. One of my favorite spots is the Upstairs at the Kimberly Hotel, which is in midtown east. The rooftop is never too crowded, as they constantly keep an eye on how many people they let through the door, the views are amazing, and the decor is gorgeous.
I typically head to the Kimberly with girlfriends, as it’s a great spot for a girls’ night out..though I’ve been with a large group of coworkers as well, and the vibe is just as fun. It’s a perfect spot for after-work drinks if you work in midtown (as a lot of us do)! The Kimberly is a great hidden gem amidst all of the typical go-to bars on Second Avenue – a classier spot with good drinks and good food, as well. If you’ve never been, head there to at least check out the view from the rooftop. It’s breath-taking at night.
