NYC Guide: Top 3 Irish Breakfasts

Mar 13 2016
I’m always a fan of the Irish Breakfast, and it’s been on my mind a lot recently, as we have a big Irish holiday coming up. For those of you not familiar with the meal, it’s a very filling breakfast typically served with different meats (bacon, sausage, and black and white puddings), beans, eggs, a potato serving, and Irish soda bread. With St. Patrick’s Day around the corner, I definitely see one of these breakfasts in my future, and I’m sharing my top three favorite spots in NYC that serve a great version.
1. Doc Watson’s
This pub is in my neighborhood, and I just tried their Irish Breakfast for the first time a few months ago. It’s a typical Irish pub, but they have a cozy area in the back with seating for meals. (The above picture is from here).
2. The Fitzpatrick
The Fitzpatrick is a very well known Irish hotel chain with locations in Manhattan as well as Ireland. The one I go to is on Lexington Avenue, and they serve food at both their side bar (great spot!) and restaurant, which also has outdoor seating.
3. Molly’s Pub
Molly’s is consistently voted as one of the most authentic Irish bars in NYC, and their Irish Breakfast is also voted as one of the best in the city.
