NYC Guide: 6 Things to Do Before Summer Ends

1. Take a day trip to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

Easy trip from Manhattan, and the perfect scenery to amp up your Instagram game. You can see which flowers are currently in bloom here.

2. Visit the Jim Henson exhibit at the Museum of the Moving Image.

The pictures that people are posting online with the puppets are adorable. It’s on my to-do list!

3. Go to an outdoor concert at the Bandshell at Prospect Park (above). 

The venue is great for summer nights, and they have a ton of food and drinks for sale right inside the grass area. It’s also a quick subway ride from Manhattan.

4. Catch an outdoor movie with the Rooftop Cinema Club.

Locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Perfect for a warm summer evening.

5. Eat your heart out at Smorgasburg. 

This food festival is held every Saturday and Sunday in Brooklyn through the fall. About 100 vendors offering all different types of foods – check out their instagram here.

6. Stargaze on the Highline.

High-powered telescopes are set up every Tuesday starting at dusk. Perfect date night!
