NYC Guide: 6 Restaurants I’m Loving

Claudette: We’ve been to Claudette twice in the last few weeks, and it’s been great both times. Probably my favorite restaurant right now. The food is top-knotch, the decor is adorable, and there’s a ton of outdoor seating for summer nights. They also have a back bar and a private space if you want to have a small party. Their summer salads, pasta dishes, and artichoke appetizer are my faves.

The House: Really cozy date spot in Gramercy, and it’s set up in an old carriage house (hence the restaurant’s name). Save this one for a special occasion, and dress up a bit. Incredible food! Get the deviled eggs to start.

Sugarfish: Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had – that’s all you need to know!

Buvette: Cute spot in the West Village. I went here with two of my girlfriends in the beginning of the summer for wine and small plates. Very casual and perfect for a group that’s okay with splitting a ton of little dishes.

Bobo: Another restaurant that’s set up in an old house. This place was so, so charming, and the food is really good. Perfect date spot in the West Village, and they have a small outdoor area in the back as well.

The Waverly: This has become an accidental pattern now (haha), but The Waverly is another old townhouse. The dining room is on the ground floor of the home, and with low ceilings and lots of candles, this place is super cozy. Reasonably priced menu, and it’s on a great corner in the West Village – lovely area to walk around after you eat. We went in cooler weather and were really happy with their comfort foods (burger and chicken pot pie).
