Hype Machine

The next big thing in music (app-wise, that is) is finally here. And it’s actually been around since 2005 – but it’s only become very popular in the last year or so. Introducing: Hype Machine.
I was introduced to Hype Machine a few months ago, and it’s completely taken the place of Pandora any time I’m looking for music. Hype Machine is very similar to Pandora, as it streams music through your phone or computer based on different genres that you select, but it’s much better.
For one, the genres on Hype Machine are never-ending. Secondly, the songs can be replayed as many times as you want, which is something that really bothers me about Pandora. That one song you haven’t heard in 12 years always comes on when you least expect it, and all you want to do is put it on repeat – and Pandora gives you the big “Nope. Move along.” Hype Machine allows you to repeat songs as many times as you’d like; you can even go through the playlist and play a song again later on (much like an iTunes playlist).
