Faux Fur Vests

Like I’ve said in multiple posts recently, I have a serious crush on vests, and I’ve already purchased a few for this season. I have two quilted vests (one shown here), a denim one (also here), and a sporty, army-green one, which I featured in an outfit post yesterday. If I add one more to my collection this year, it will definitely be a faux fur one!

Personally, I’m not into real fur, so faux would definitely be my choice. And they’re cheaper, too! So..why not. One of my sisters bought a faux fur vest last year, and I fell in love with it. I’ve wanted one for the last year or two; I’ve just never gotten around to buying one! Besides the fact that they are super warm, these vests are unbelievably trendy, and they scream chic. I imagine that I’d wear mine with some booties, or even riding boots, and skinny jeans – a perfect outfit for the fall.

Faux fur, like faux leather, can be tricky sometimes. You have to be careful and make sure that you’re getting a material that actually looks real; otherwise, more often than not, the item looks very cheap. So – be careful, take your time, and shop around! It’s better to find the perfect piece than to snag up the cheapest one you can get your hands on.

I’ve put together a list of some faux vests that I think would pass the “Is This NOT Cheesy” test. (I’ve also included some black vests, as well as a few that just have fur linings – though my favorite is the brown “fluffy” kind, as seen in the pictures above). Shop below:

The Forever 21 vest is SUPER cheap! But again – be careful when it’s this inexpensive. It’s definitely best to try it on first to see if it’s a terrible material. But – hopefully it’s not! Fingers crossed.
